UW COVID-19 Student Service Corps

Our primary goal is to create a centralized system for fielding projects and research from the health care system, and to organize student teams to respond to the project and research needs.

Service Projects

Rainier Beach Mobile COVID Outreach

Assisting with free COVID-19 testing for vulnerable populations in South Seattle.

Telemedicine Support

Supporting health care providers at Harborview Medical Center in the implementation of high-tech telemedicine solutions for their patients.

Pioneer Square Outreach

Assisting frontline workers in Pioneer Square Clinic to screen for COVID-19 in those experiencing homelessness.

COVID+ Unstable Housing with UW Emergency Medicine

Working with UW Emergency Medicine and Harborview Medical Center to help locate COVID-19+ patients who are experiencing homelessness.

University District Mobile Testing Unit

Assisting frontline COVID-19 testing efforts with outreach to the community of those in shelters and experiencing homelessness in the area.

Volunteer/ Research Projects

COVID Antibody & Plasmapheresis Testing

Working with UW Virology researchers to identify patients eligible for COVID-19 antibody testing.

COVID Transmission in Household Pets

Supporting the efforts for the Center for One Health Research to investigate this critical question.
